The NEW Fall Fling in Hickory will be on October 20, 2007 at the Hickory Metro Center!!
Read below about the stunning success of this past spring show:

On March 31, 2007 the Alexander Chapter-NRHS hosted the 5th Annual North Carolina Railroad Expo at the Hickory NC Metro & Convention Center. Located in Hickory, directly off I-40, and extremely convenient to Charlotte, Greensboro, Asheville, Greenville, and Roanoke, the show was a remarkable success. The show was so popular that we have added a 2nd date- October 20, 2007 to meet the demands of dealers and attendees alike.
Vendors stocked nearly 250 tables full of neat items, and over 1000 people attended the show- an amazing number for a one day show.  Many dealers commented that this show is one of the **BEST** and fastest growing on the train show circuit. The local NRHS chapter did a great job in putting this show together, and fortunately, this show will be held again and again. Don't miss your chance to support this new FALL show. A 1962 Nickel Plate motorcar at the entrance to the show was a real crowd pleaser, especially for the kids.

Models of all scales, as well as lanterns, china, silver, and books were in abundance at the show.

The show hall is a brand new facility that is centrally located between Charlotte and Asheville. Easy access and free parking are nice perks at the Hickory Metro Center.

Not to be outdone, the Southern Railway Historical Association   was well-represented by Greg and Joy Soots. Hey, is that Marvin Rogers in the background?!

Larry Goolsby (left) and Paul Faulk represented the ACL & SAL Historical Society with a magnificent selection of books and other material.
